The Music of Kasarinlan
Kasarinlan’s repertoire is extensive. It covers the whole range of Philippine music cultures – both vocal and instrumental --- from indigenous, "Muslim", folk, popular, serious, "pop", neo-folk or neo-ethnic, social criticism, to nationalist. Characteristic dances of each Philippine subculture are often included to ensure a vivid portrayal of the subculture’s identity. The music and dances are integrated with movements, drama and informative narration.
